QUARTERLY ESTIMATES
- For the March quarter 2007, there were 33 disputes, 17 less than in the December quarter 2006.
- The number of employees involved in industrial disputes in the March quarter 2007 was 3,600, a decrease from 60,600 in the December quarter 2006.
- There were 6,900 working days lost due to industrial disputation in the March quarter 2007, a decrease from 54,200 in the December quarter 2006.
- The Manufacturing industry accounted for 4,400 (63%) of the total number of working days lost in the March quarter 2007. The Coal mining industry had the highest number of working days lost per thousand employees (9.7) for the quarter.
- In the March quarter 2007, Victoria accounted for 3,500 (51%) of working days lost. South Australia had the highest number of working days lost per thousand employees (3.2) for the quarter.
YEAR ENDED ESTIMATES
- During the year ended March 2007, there were 136 disputes, 329 less than in the year ended March 2006.
- During the year ended March 2007, there were 109,500 working days lost compared with 213,200 in the year ended March 2006.
